We Are Only as Good as our Staff

Our programs are nothing without great staff to implement them. We seek to hire the best, and we constantly evaluate what we are doing - and what more we can do - to retain the employees we already have.

IFD strives to keep our salaries competitive with other non-profit social service organizations in the area. We review our salaries annually to ensure we are meeting that goal. Other components of total compensation include:
  • Annual salary increases, up to the maximum salary for each position
  • A generous benefit package including paid holidays, sick leave, vacation, retirement and medical insurance
  • For any year in which the agency has an operating surplus there is a policy that allows the IFD Board of Trustees to award profit sharing
  • Medical insurance for employees; insurance for dependents available for purchase
  • Employee dental coverage
  • Dependent Care and Health Care Flexible Spending Accounts (125 Plan)
  • An employer-contributed retirement plan
  • 11 paid holidays per year
  • Up to 20 vacation days per year
  • 12 paid sick days per year (2 of which can be used as well-being days)
  • Mileage reimbursement of $.47 per mile for client or agency related travel
  • Agency mobile phone for clinical employees
  • Long term disability insurance
  • Basic term life, and AD&D insurance, with supplemental term life insurance available for purchase
